Project bonding is needed to issue the notice to proceed. BLM contacted the project sponsor and was not able to get a timeframe in which bonding is expected to be completed. BLM is moving the milestone 6 months to account for the unknown timeframe the sponsor will need to bond the project. This was discussed with FPISC staff on 1/14/22.
Due to continued interagency coordination, the Draft EA/Public Participation 2 milestone is being moved from 1/10/2022 to 1/21/2022. This change requires the alternative completion date for the Issuance of Final EA and EA Process Concluded to shift from 1/28/2022 to 2/11/2022.
RUS has been in coordination with the cooperating agencies and project sponsor to develop the alternatives and draft language for the EA.
