Per 42 U.S.C.§ 4370m-2(c)(2)(F), Reclamation is required to provide an alternative completion date and an initial explanation for the missed completion date by October 22, 2025. Reclamation has provided the initial explanation for the missed date, but has not yet provided the required alternative completion date. The Permitting Council is working with Reclamation to ensure an alternative completion date is determined and represented on the permitting timetable as soon as possible. Internal review processes within the Department of the Interior are occurring with regard to this project which has required enhanced coordination and affected the timeline for this project.

Description:
Clearway Energy Group requests a land use authorization license from the Bureau of Reclamation to construct, operate, and maintain electrical power transmission lines and associated access roads on Reclamation-administered land. The 230-kilovolt electrical power transmission line would transmit electricity from a solar power generation facility on private land, across Reclamation-administered land, to the Vantage Substation in Grant County, Washington. This Project will serve electricity users in Washington, with the target of serving Grant County specifically.
