The “Section 106 consultation concluded” milestone is dependent on the timing of consultation meetings with consulting parties – critical milestones in the projects permitting table. The revised schedule reflects the time necessary for BOEM to conduct thorough and meaningful consultation in accordance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), while fully complying with any applicable departmental procedures. This 180-day shift is shown in the table below.

Description:
Vineyard Mid-Atlantic LLC (the “Project Sponsor”) proposes to develop, construct, and operate an offshore renewable wind energy facility in the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s Lease Area Outer Continental Shelf (OCS)-A 0544. OCS-A 0544 is located approximately 38 kilometers (24 miles) offshore from Fire Island, New York. The Project would include a total of 118 wind turbine generators and offshore export cables routed to landfall sites in Long Island, New York to connect to onshore transmission systems in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and/or Queens County, New York.
