Description:

Silver Hill Energy is proposing to build a natural gas trunk pipeline through the Sabine National Forest along with four drilling well pads to develop their existing Federal mineral leases.  The project area is located in Shelby County, TX, directly east of the town of Goober Hill, TX.

<p><span data-teams="true">An executable Special Use Permit for an Oil or Gas Facility for the Cobra Master Development Plan Project was delivered to the project sponsor on the target completion date of May 13, 2026. The project sponsor declined to sign on the target completion date, owing to the absence of appendices that were still pending delivery by the project sponsor’s contractor and review and approval by the Forest. It was the project sponsor’s stated preference that the permit not be executed until after inclusion of all approved appendices. The Forest is actively reviewing all deliverables received on May 19, 2026, and working towards a revised issuance of the Special Use Permit with appendices. The Forest is working with the project sponsor to identify an alternative completion date.</span></p>
