  • Non-conformance Explanation:
    The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) missed the August 12, 2026, milestone to publish the Notice of Intent to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The Notice of Intent for the Tonopah Flats Lithium Project has required enhanced coordination and administrative review at the Department of Interior (DOI) Headquarters and will be published once this is completed. Per 42 U.S.C.§ 4370m-2(c)(2)(F), BLM is providing October 14, 2026, as an alternative completion date and changes the scoping date to November 12, 2026.
