Description:

The Tacoma Dome Link Extension project proposed by Sound Transit would expand Link light rail from the Federal Way Transit Center in King County, Washington to the Tacoma Dome District area in Pierce County, Washington. The project is approximately 10 miles, and includes an elevated guideway and four new light rail stations in the following areas: South Federal Way, Fife, East Tacoma, and the Tacoma Dome District. Park-and-ride lots would be constructed at the South Federal Way and Fife stations. The project would provide a dependable and efficient connection along the corridor and respond to a growing number of transportation and community needs. In addition to build alternatives, the project will also consider a No Build alternative.
