Description:
The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) in collaboration with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) propose to construct the Point of the Mountain (POM) Transit Project. The POM Transit Project is a proposed 10‑mile‑long, high-capacity transit line to be constructed between Draper and Lehi, UT with up to 11 proposed stations, and supporting facilities. Three modes are being considered for the proposed transit line including bus rapid transit (BRT), light rail transit (LRT), and multiple-unit rail (XMU). UTA and UDOT plan to construct the transit line in partnership with the Wasatch Front Regional Council, Mountainland Association of Governments, Utah County, Salt Lake County, and the cities of Bluffdale, Draper, Lehi, Sandy, and South Jordan, UT.
