Utah Department Environmental Quality (UDEQ) submitted an aquifer exemption (AE) request on July 5, 2022, that included the Lone Wolf, Flying Diamond and GTO ore bodies. EPA responded to that request with a letter of deficiency on December 13, 2022. On June 18, 2024, UDEQ requested the EPA consider only the GTO for the AE approval. At a later date, UDEQ plans to apply separately for the Flying Diamond and Lone Wolf ore deposits.
