Description:

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) proposes to construct the Eastside Transit Corridor Phase 2 Project (Project).  The Project’s Locally Preferred Alternative (also known as the Initial Operating Segment [IOS] to Greenwood) is an approximately 4.7-mile light rail line extending from the current E Line terminus in East Los Angeles to Greenwood Avenue and Washington Boulevard in the City of Montebello. The Project is located in eastern Los Angeles County, California, and would run through the unincorporated Los Angeles County community of East Los Angeles and the cities of Commerce and Montebello. The proposed light rail extension will feature a relocated station at Atlantic/Pomona in East Los Angeles and three new stations, which include one new station at the Atlantic/Whittier intersection, one new station in Commerce Citadel, and one new station at the Greenwood/Washington intersection in Montebello.
