Description:
In July 2017, the Corps completed Section 106 National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) requirements through the execution of an Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by the Corps, Dominion, and the Acting Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Fish, Wildlife, and Parks (on behalf of the National Park Service (NPS)), among other parties. The MOA, developed through the NHPA Section 106 consultation process, contained stipulations to avoid, minimize, and mitigate impacts to the historic properties in proximity to the proposed project. The July 2017 MOA remains valid at this time. However, the Corps has provided preliminary target milestones for a new Section 106 consultation process, should one be needed. This page will be updated as more information becomes available.
