Description:
The Nikolai Nickel Project is an advanced exploration project in Alaska that hosts a deposit of nickel with cobalt, platinum, palladium, copper, and chromium. The proposed project includes rehabilitation of the pre-existing Rainy Creek Mining Road (RCMR) involving maintenance work and placement of a temporary crossing structure across a narrow channel of the braided Delta River within the Delta Wild and Scenic River Management Area in the Interior region of Alaska. Siting of a large camp on a gravel pad within the Nikolai Project’s mining claim block will include construction of a short six-mile extension from the existing RCMR and placement of a temporary crossing structure at Eureka Creek.
This project is posted in the interest of transparency and response to Executive Order 14241. A permitting timetable will be posted on or before December 2, 2025.
