Description:

The Golden Mile Project is a proposed precious metal, open pit mine with a proposed mine life of 8-10 years. The project would be a material project for Fortitude Gold Corporation (FGC) and would be operated by a subsidiary, Golden Mile Minerals Corp. (GMMC). The mine is expected to primarily produce gold and would provide employment opportunities and economic development to Mineral County, Nevada.

The Project would be located within the Bell Mining District (also known as the Cedar Mountain District). This mining district is located in Mineral County, in west-central Nevada. The project would be located on private lands controlled by GMMC and public lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Nevada, Carson City District, Stillwater Field Office.

The closest towns with full services are Hawthorne located 50 miles to the west and Tonopah located 55 miles to the southeast. Access to the property is via access roads connected to Nevada State Route (NSR) 361 and US Route 95, the main highway between Reno and Las Vegas. The Project would be located approximately 23 miles east-southeast of the Isabella Pearl Mine, which is owned and operated by Walker Lane Minerals Corporation (WLMC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of FGC, the same parent company that owns GMMC.

This project is posted in the interest of transparency and response to Executive Order 14241.
