Description:

This project is posted in the interest of transparency and response to Executive Order 14241.

The project sponsor proposes conducting mineral exploration activities on public land within a 24,427-acre Project Area. The project area contains approximately 39.2 acres of disturbance within the 24,727-acre Project Area. Surface disturbing activities would consist of utilizing the existing road network for project access, exploration drill pads, access roads, exploration wells, cellars, sumps, up to two work yards, bulk sampling, geotechnical auger holes, geological test pits and geological and geophysical mapping. In addition, minor road maintenance and repair would include snow removal and filling holes with clean, weed-free, fill material or gravel, to provide safe and durable running surfaces. The project sponsor proposes to conduct exploration well drilling and brine testing on up to five new constructed drill sites and continued studies of the three wells drilled under Notice NVN-100052.

The project is located on BLM-administered public lands.
