Description:

The project sponsor proposes to construct natural gas pipeline facilities composed of new, looped pipeline facilities and compression additions. Two separate pipeline loops are proposed in Illinois, totaling approximately 68 miles: the Joliet Loop and the Sycamore Loop. The Joliet Loop consists of approximately 42 miles of 36-inch-diameter pipeline loop in Kendall and DeKalb Counties. The Sycamore Loop consists of approximately 26 miles of 36-inch-diameter pipeline loop in DeKalb and McHenry Counties. The pipeline loops would be installed in parallel to the existing Guardian pipeline right-of-way.

The project also involves the installation of two new natural gas compressor units at the existing Joliet Compressor Station, modifications to the existing Sycamore Compressor Station, construction of a new electric compressor station in Dodge County, Wisconsin, removal of existing controls, currently restricting throughput capacity capability, at Guardian’s existing Bluff Creek Compressor Station, as well as the construction of a new delivery meter station and other appurtenant pipeline facilities.
