Description:
The Riley Ridge to Natrona Project (Project) consists of three right-of-way grant applications: (1) the Riley Ridge Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Pipeline Project, (2) the Bairoil to Natrona CO2 Pipeline Project, and (3) right-of-way for a 230-kilovolt (kV) transmission line to supply energy to the proposed Riley Ridge Sweetening Plant. It is a 243-mile project crossing through Fremont, Sublette, Sweetwater and Natrona counties in Wyoming on federal, state and private lands (191 miles on BLM lands). If approved, the Project would include the proposed Riley Ridge Sweetening Plant where H2S would be separated from the CO2 stream and injected into a deep geological formation via two proposed adjacent hydrogen sulfide (H2S) injection wells.
As proposed, the Riley Ridge to Sweeting Plant segment would include 31 miles of 16-inch pipeline transporting liquid H2S and CO2 from the existing Riley Ridge Treating Plant located 18 miles southwest of Big Piney, Wyoming, to the proposed Riley Ridge Sweetening Plant to be located 12 miles northeast of LaBarge, Wyoming. From the proposed Riley Ridge Sweetening Plant, a 24-inch pipeline would transport liquid CO2 129 miles through Sublette and Sweetwater counties to the Bairoil Interconnect located 50 miles northwest of Rawlins, Wyoming. The Bairoil to Natrona segment would include 83 miles of 24-inch pipeline transporting liquid CO2 from the Bairoil Interconnect through Fremont and Natrona counties to the Greencore Pipeline at the Natrona Hub 30 miles west of Casper, Wyoming.
