Description:

The BCNE Project proposes to make infrastructure improvements to support project container growth on a Port of Houston owned parcel, located on Spilman Island in Harris County, Texas. The project proposes a new cargo terminal that will include construction of (2) two new vessel berthings slips, an improved channel to allow ships to safely transit, and an improved turning basin. The proposed upgrades to terminal facilities will optimize cargo-handling operations and ensure that the Port can efficiently accommodate larger vessels within the national freight network.
