Description:
The project is approximately 6.9 miles in length, beginning just north of the Sterretts Gap Roundabout, located at the Perry/Cumberland County line, extending north through the community of Shermans Dale, and ending at the intersection of S.R. 0034 with S.R. 2003 (Mountain View Road) and T-412 (Rambo Hill Road). The project includes safety improvements at the following five (5) intersections:
• S.R. 0034 and T-303 (Fox Hollow Road)
• S.R. 0034 and T-306 (Youngs Church Road)/T-308 (Richwine Road)
• S.R. 0034 and S.R. 2001 (Windy Hill Road)
• S.R. 0034 and Old Mill Road (T-325)
• S.R. 0034 and S.R. 2003 (Mountain View Road)/T-412 (Rambo Hill Road)
The resurfacing portion of the project from the Sterretts Gap roundabout to Sherman Creek includes drainage improvements, guiderail updates, tree trimming, slope stabilization, base repair and milling in curbed areas.
The project will also include replacement of the structure carrying S.R. 0034 over a tributary to Sherman Creek (BMS 50003400900050 / BRKEY 29498), located just north of the intersection with Old Mill Road.
