Description:
The Project proposes to replace and relocate the existing California Department of Food and Agriculture - Needles Border Protection Station with an updated facility on I-40, in San Bernardino County. The proposed facility would have three vehicle inspection lanes, five preliminary commercial truck inspection lanes, three or four secondary commercial truck inspection lanes, a vehicle inspection building, a commercial truck inspection building, three inspection canopies and an outdoor employee break area. The project would also widen the Watson Wash bridge and construct an employee access road to the project site from Goffs Road.
BLM will be a cooperating agency under NEPA for this project.
