Description:

The purpose of this project is to preserve and extend pavement surface life, restore and extend culvert life, upgrade guardrail and signs to current standards, address storm water needs to ensure compliance, and mitigate for drainage on State Route (SR) 74 from Postmile (PM) 78.1/R92.3. The segment within the project limits of SR-74 consists of pavement currently classified as fair condition. If left in the existing condition, the pavement will deteriorate further and distress. In addition, 17 culverts are currently classified as being in poor condition. If left uncorrected, culverts will deteriorate further and will require major rehabilitation. Furthermore, some guardrail and signs need upgrading to enhance motorist performance. Lastly, these locations include the need of storm water mitigation; if left untreated, best management practices may result in noncompliance. The need for drainage mitigation has been identified, if left uncorrected, the side slopes will erode and deteriorate further.
