Description:
The proposed improvements would include widening Sgt. Ed Holcomb Boulevard and Old Conroe Road within the project limits to four 12-foot-wide travel lanes (two in each direction) with the addition of a 14-wide center turn lane or a 16-foot-wide grassy median, a 10-foot-wide shared use path on the east side, and curb-and-gutter drainage. Intermittent 6-foot-wide sidewalks would also be constructed on the west side of the facility in three locations: Loop 336 to Riverway Drive, Foster’s Ridge Parkway to Thunder Basin Parkway, and north of Landing Drive to FM 1488. The facility would be extended (connected) with construction of a new bridge over the West Fork San Jacinto River and Lake Creek. The bridge would consist of four 12-foot-wide travel lanes separated by a concrete barrier, with 10-foot-wide outside shoulders and a 14-foot-wide shared use path on the east side.
