Description:
The Project is located along the IA 141 corridor between NW 121st Street and NW Timberbrooke Lane in Polk County, Iowa with the purpose of improving the corridor, particularly at the IA 141 and Towner Drive intersection. Goals of this Project improvements include:
• Improving the IA 141 corridor’s ability to safely accommodate projected traffic growth due to regional growth outside of the corridor.
• Supporting new and imminent mixed-use economic development immediately adjacent to the corridor south of Beaver Creek and north of NW Timberbrooke Lane.
• Improving the quality of life for area residents and recreationalists by providing cross highway accommodation for pedestrians and bicyclists.
• Enhancing drivers’ expectancy by improving the access control along the corridor.
