Description:
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), in cooperation with the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH), proposes to replace the existing Dunbar Toll Bridge over the Kanawha River with a new bridge in the same location. The current bridge located in Dunbar, WV is considered functionally obsolete because it does not meet minimum vertical or horizontal roadway clearances and the existing railings do not meet current crash standards for vehicles or height standards for pedestrians.
