Description
Authorization under 10 CFR Part 50, for which review under the National Environmental Policy Act is required, covers construction of a new nuclear power plant under the Atomic Energy Act. A construction permit does not allow operation but, if certain requirements are met, the applicant may convert the construction permit to an operating license as approved by the NRC.
