Permitting Action Modification History

In the permitting timetable updated on January 11, 2024, Commission staff included a project sponsor dependency stating that the Commission’s “milestone target dates . . . are dependent on the project sponsor resolving all application deficiencies, additional information needs, and required studies by September 30, 2024.”  After the permitting timetable was updated, the project sponsor requested an extension of time to file its historic properties management plan by October 31, 2024.  Commission staff issued a letter approving the extension of time on September 11, 2024.  To account for the additional time needed for the project sponsor to file the required information, the Commission issued a notice of revised schedule for the project on October 18, 2024.  The Commission’s milestone target dates are being modified accordingly.

In the permitting timetable updated on July 28, 2023, Commission staff included a project sponsor dependency stating that the Commission’s “milestone target dates . . . are dependent on the project sponsor resolving all application deficiencies, additional information needs, and required studies by December 14, 2023.”  After the permitting timetable was updated, the project sponsor requested an extension of time to complete additional studies with a final study report to be filed by September 30, 2024.  Commission staff issued a letter approving the extension of time on October 31, 2023.  The Commission’s milestone target dates are being modified to account for the additional time needed for the project sponsor to complete the studies and file the study reports.

In the initial permitting timetable, Commission staff included a project sponsor dependency stating that the Commission’s “milestone target dates . . . are dependent on the project sponsor resolving all application deficiencies, additional information needs, and required studies by July 10, 2023.”  However, after the permitting timetable was published, the project sponsor agreed to conduct additional studies requested by the Bureau of Land Management and other agencies and proposed to file the study results by “November 2023,” and Commission staff issued a letter requiring the corresponding study reports and additional information to be filed with the Commission by November 30, 2023.  The Commission’s milestone target dates are being modified to account for the additional time needed for the project sponsor to complete the studies and file the additional information.
